It just doesn't get any more Afghani than this. Afghani Special is the result of crossing the original with a newer Double Afghani, creating a strong indica with a sweet smell and wide, dark-green leaves. It even has that satisfying retro look that just screams great quality and good times.
Indoors, the flowering time for these plants is about 7 weeks or so.
Some finish in six, others can take as much as nine, depending mostly on the growth methods and light cycles, but there are also at least two distinct phenotypes: one is short and compact and flowers quickly, the other taller, bushier and a little slower to finish.
They are easy to tell apart by the end of their vegetative stages.
Indoor plants grow to a medium height of about 120 cm (4 feet) on average, making them well-suited for potting and soil setups as well as greenhouses and high-ceilinged grow rooms. They also work in various hydro setups and will yield an average of about 135 g.
Outdoors, they grow much taller and can produce more than three times as much as their indoor counterparts.
For outdoor growers, this is one strain that will not disappoint. The plants grow to nearly a metre high and can produce a maximum of 700 g of great-quality buds. They take a little longer to finish outdoors but are still ready to go after about 9 weeks on average, 10 for maximum potency and flavour.
The effect of Afghani Special is one that anyone familiar with the original already knows well. This is an all-indica hybrid that delivers an all-indica effect - strong and long-lasting but not overwhelming.
Maintenance requirements are fairly low making this a good strain for novice growers or those who don't want to deal with an excess of fuss for some good product.
